Ross DeAngelis
VP Curriculum
Ross DeAngelis is an MBA candidate at the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin, concentrating in Venture Capital and Biotech. He earned his PhD in Biology with a focus on neuroscience and genomics from the University of Illinois. As an NSF postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas, Ross combined molecular tools and computational biology to uncover the functional architecture of neural circuits underlying adaptive social behaviors. His research has been published in high-profile journals, and he has been an invited lecturer both domestically and internationally.
After spending time at Santé Ventures, Ross is now back at the firm, applying his scientific expertise to evaluate biotech startups and assess the potential of innovative therapeutic approaches. This role is part of his ongoing efforts to bridge his scientific background with business acumen. He is particularly interested in venture capital firms that focus on life sciences and innovative technologies, where his unique combination of scientific research experience and venture investing skills can drive meaningful impact.
