Nate Shoemate

VP Alumni Relations

Nate is a member of the McCombs MBA class of 2025, concentrating on venture capital and private equity finance. Beyond his position as Vice President of Alumni Relations, Nate is an active member with Texas Veterans in Business and the MBA Wine Club.

Prior to pursuing his MBA, Nate was an Engagement Manager in Hatch’s Advisory practice where he led teams performing strategy, transactional due diligence, and operational excellence projects for clients in the infrastructure, energy, metals, and mining sectors. He specifically focused on permanent magnets, energy storage, their mineral value chains, and novel technologies.

Nate graduated from Columbia University in 2019 with a B.A. in Economics following seven years in the United States Marine Corps. In his spare time, Nate enjoys fly fishing and exploring nature.
