Mitchell is a member of the McCombs Class of 2026. He is from Houston originally, but has called Austin his home for over 4 years now.

He graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Petroleum Engineering and started off his oil & gas career in Colorado where he worked on emissions reduction and design optimization projects. During Covid, he worked as a carpenter building decks and bars while launching his first company, Footy Intl, that designed and sold sustainable, USA-made socks. From here, he joined an AI consulting firm to focus on internal process development, started a second company that employs local firefighters for window-washing jobs, and helped expand the impact of an energy analytics company's Learning & Development team.

In his personal life, he and his wife enjoy international traveling, volunteering with their church, exploring the Austin barbecue, taco, and live music scenes, and playing with their dog Kona.
