Carolyn Taylor

Director

Carolyn is a native Texan and member of the Texas McCombs MBA Class of 2025, concentrating in Private Equity Finance and Investment Management. In addition to serving as Director of Venture Fellows, Carolyn is a member of the McCombs Ambassador Committee and Graduate Women in Business. She is also a recipient of the Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst Center for Private Equity Finance scholarship for academic excellence.

Prior to McCombs, Carolyn spent two years working at 424 Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm in the Boston area that makes control equity investments in tech-enabled services businesses. There, she was responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing platform and add-on acquisitions within healthcare and renewable energy. Previously, Carolyn worked at the Beth Israel Lahey Health Investment Office and Investure, where she was responsible for managing assets on behalf of non-profit institutions and underwrote investments across a variety of asset classes.

Carolyn earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Smith College where she was a NCAA Division III student-athlete on the swimming & diving team.
